I have not blogged in while. A tip that I can give from my point a view is macro. The closer you get the better. But remember there is a fine line you don't want to cross. Because if you get too close, it would suddenly look like a science experiment (unless thats the look your going for). But if you get the right macro, it becomes an experience you don't want to forget. Nor your viewers will ever forget. Please tell me your experience as well.
